Believe

“May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
Romans 15:13

Thank you for visiting our Class Page! Here you will find some information about what happens in Year 5.

We believe in God, in ourselves, and in each other. We believe that through faith, hard work, and kindness, we can make a difference. We follow Jesus’ example by showing love, courage, and respect in all we do. Together, we believe that with God’s help, anything is possible. We strive to do our best, celebrate our God-given gifts, and make our world a better place through love and learning.

Religious Education

Religious Education is at the heart of all we do in Year 5. It guides us to learn more about God, to live like Jesus and to grow in faith and love. We do Religious Education for two and a half hours each week to fully immerse and celebrate our Catholic ethos.

Reading

Reading books will be changed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as a minimum. Please make every effort to read with your child at home regularly and comment in their Reading Record book.

Spellings

The children are given spellings every Friday to take home and practise them. A weekly spelling test will take place on the following Friday.

The Children have access to Spelling Shed and therefore, should use this at home too.

Maths

The children have a Times Tables Rockstars personal log in to practise their tables at home. Children to need to ensure they are secure on their tables knowledge to help future progression.

PE

Homework
