“Explore, reason and grow with the power of numbers”
Intent
We believe that mathematics is more than numbers and calculations — it is a way of thinking, reasoning, and solving problems. Our aim is to inspire curious, resilient learners who enjoy challenges, see mistakes as opportunities, and develop confidence in their abilities.
Implementation
Our curriculum follows the National Curriculum for England and builds skills progressively from Early Years to Year 6. Lessons are practical, engaging, and focused on developing understanding, fluency, and problem-solving. Pupils are encouraged to discuss their thinking, make connections, and apply their learning creatively to real-life situations.
Impact
By the time children leave our school, they are confident, capable mathematicians. They approach challenges with curiosity and perseverance, communicate their ideas clearly, and are equipped with the skills and understanding to succeed both in school and in life.
